Google recently implemented 53 new changes in its algorithm, but these only serve to reinforce the search engine’s standing emphasis on fresh content and aversion for keyword-stuffed pages. Highly regarded Internet marketing expert James Schramko explains the implications of the update and offers tips on how to protect against Google Penguin.

Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) May 14, 2012

After the reign of Panda, Penguin is now taking its turn. Things have certainly been kept hopping in the search engine optimization industry as Google, the Internet’s premier search engine and general overlord, maintains a running stream of algorithm changes endearingly represented by cute wildlife creatures. The most recent update has website owners and webmasters minding 53 changes to the algorithm. To help its customers understand how the changes impact the SEO status quo, quality content creation and distribution company SEOPartner recently released a news video with owner and top online marketing authority James Schramko explaining the difference the changes created and offering tips on how to protect against Google Penguin.

“It’s been another week of Penguin, so we’ve had a lot more chance to see what’s going on,” states Schramko in the video. He reports that he and his team went through SEOPartner’s customer results and analyzed them. Their findings netted them the following figures: “48% of our customers have been maintaining their already good rankings, 31% have improved substantially with the recent Penguin updates, and 21% of our customer base looks like they have had some sort of impact from Penguin.”

Schramko suggests that customer websites that are doing well can credit fresh content, good site structure, and getting a broad mix of anchor text for their good rankings. In the meantime, he’s asking the customers whose websites were negatively affected by Penguin for additional or secondary keywords. “If we haven’t asked you, it means that we’ve already gone and researched what your additional or secondary words are, and we’re making sure that not only are we targeting the phrases that you asked us to target but we’re also sending you links for related phrases,” Schramko explains. To find out related phrases, people can go to Google and search their keywords; the related phrases will be indicated at the bottom of the page.

Schramko offers this assurance, “We’re making sure that we get you a broad mix of links so that your site is not going to get Penguin-slapped or ‘Penguinated’.” The new SEOPartner forms will actually already ask for secondary or additional related phrases. According to the SEOPartner chief, to do SEO correctly these days, websites should have a collection of related phrases lifting their results. There should be focus on the overall impact of getting good search rankings for a related set of phrases.

Schramko cites SEMRush and Google Analytics as recommended tools to use to find out related phrases. With SEMRush, webmasters can see what other phrases their sites are ranking for beyond the first page. With Google Analytics, they can see what phrases are bringing traffic to their account. “Google Webmaster Tools recently updated their reporting to show you the search traffic for your phrases, and that is a good place to figure out what your site is all about and what Google thinks it’s all about,” shares the web marketing master.

“One of our packages really focuses on getting a bunch of different links, up to 10 different links. I suggest that you actually maximize that,” asserts Schramko. “Go broad. Get 10 different links rather than ten times 1 link. If you’re looking to improve the linkjuice of your site and to get rankings across the board, I’m suggesting go a little broader these days and focus on the phrases that bring you money, but also the related phrases that prop those phrases up.”

He offers his main tip for the week, “Install a heatmap on your website.” He recommends website optimizers Crazy Egg and Click Tail, “They will give you a heatmap. It shows you where people are clicking on your sites so you can start optimizing your pages for better conversions because if you can double your conversions, that is the same effect as doubling your traffic.”

Despite the on-going economic recovery, a lot of households still depend on home-based employment to give them the financial leverage they need. And on top of the more sophisticated options of website development, software programming and graphic design, virtual assistance is still the most in-demand type of online job in 2012. As statistics would concur, 74.14% of VA’s are actually in the U.S and the population is predicted to increase further in the coming years. What VA’s usually do is work from home stuffing envelopes, running virtual errands, corresponding, handling small projects for the client, and basically carrying out simple business tasks like sorting, computing and scheduling.

The next popular home-based job is that of internet marketing. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, internet marketing careers will grow at 13% through 2018. This industry category includes search engine optimizers who create and maintain backlinks. Usually, what they do is look for the best sites to make a blog or article, bookmark, social network profile, directory submission as well as video post, and then create content to fill them all up. They also monitor internet marketing progress through special tools and prepare reports which they will email to clients on regular intervals.

The third popular home-base opportunity for the year is online tutorial, majority of which will cover language proficiency. A lot of people today have realized the convenience of being taught how to write, speak, play the guitar and do basic algebra through teleconference and so outsourcing companies have also included this service to their roster. Although the freelance online tutorial population is still growing, it is foreseen to be as lucrative as the opportunity to work from home stuffing envelopes.

To get a reliable job listing, Jamie Barrett advices individuals to look in credible professional networking sites such as Linked In, online employment sites such as Elance and oDesk, or do search engine targeted research for tenured sites that offer particular job preferences so they don’t end up working for scammers. Work Stuffing Envelopes, for instance, is a website that provides people with real, legal avenues to make money at home through the internet.

To find out more about what they have in store for you, I suggest you drop by Work Stuffing Envelopes website at http://www.workstuffingenvelopes.com/

The 4 Pillars of the SEO 2.0 New World Order

As your brand’s virtual storefront, your website can be a powerful tool to communicate your message, attract prospects and generate leads online. But how do you get there? Google’s Panda update was a high-profile example of how search engines are changing the way they view online content, favoring fresh and original content over static keyword-laden copy. Business owners, SEO experts and content marketers the world over are trying to figure out the best way to react to these changes. I’ve been reading and writing a lot about this in recent months – confusion about the future of search is widespread.

The move to emphasize fresh and original content has been influenced by society’s increasing adoption of the Internet, social and mobile. This mass migration to online media is putting pressure on search engines to deliver better and more relevant user experiences.  Businesses are not immune. Consumers are looking for deeper online engagement with brands, forcing companies to improve their website and social media offerings to meet the demands of an increasingly-sophisticated online marketplace.

In this new world order, SEO continues to play a critical role for business. The need for SEO hasn’t dissipated; if anything, it has increased. What has changed is the methodology. Today’s SEO (SEO 2.0, if you will) is customer-focused and content-driven.

As the hub of your online marketing efforts, your website must accept new SEO best practices to maintain a viable online presence. In short, you must embrace the four pillars of SEO 2.0.

THE FOUR PILLARS

This idea has been largely adapted from an awesome presentation given by Jonathon Colman, Internet Marketing Program Manager for REI, almost two years ago. Though dated by Internet standards, his explanation of the four “pillars” of a strategic SEO program provides one of the best summations of the core philosophy behind SEO 2.0.

In today’s SEO 2.0 world, your site must accomplish four goals:

  1. Provide solutions to address the needs of your target audience.
  2. Build valuable on-site content to give your audience a unique visitor experience.
  3. Optimize your message with an easily-navigated site structure.
  4. Drive your vision home with off-site evangelism.

This blog will elaborate on the first goal, providing solutions your target audience needs and /or wants.

TARGET IN (WEB)SITE

Before doing anything, you need to clarify:

a) Exactly who your target audience is,

b) What they are searching for online.

People usually have three goals when performing an Internet search:

  • Informational – They’re interested in a broad topic with many results. Using Facebook as an analogy, the prospect might type in “social network.”
  • Navigational - They’re searching for a particular brand, i.e. “Facebook.”
  • Transactional - They’re ready to make a purchase or perform an action – “avoid my girlfriend on Facebook”

The point is that each type of visitor should be offered different web content to meet their individual needs. Take this into account when reviewing the functionality of each webpage.

  • Informational pages are for people who may have a general interest in your product or service, but need more information to figure out if you’re a good fit. These pages need to provide valuable high-level content infused with broad keywords relevant to your business.  These are good places for top-of-the-funnel offers such as tip guides, e-books, and white papers.
  • Navigational pages speak to people with a specific interest in your brand’s products and services. These are hotter prospects looking for actionable ways to move forward. Page content should be optimized for longer-tail keywords and more specific queries. You also want to provide clear actionable copy, incorporating phrases like “to get started…” Navigational pages are a prime place to include middle-of-the-funnel offers like a presentation download, webinar or free assessment.
  • Transactional pages target prospects that are ready to purchase your product or service now. Optimize these pages for specific product and category terms, and have clear calls-to-action with landing pages or links to a bottom-of-the funnel offer such as a pricing sheet, order form, demo, or free consultation.

Clarifying your target market allows you to better cater to the needs of your intended audience. Informational, navigational and transactional web pages engage your inbound traffic at various stages of the buying cycle. If your website navigation and content is structured in a progressive manner, it will naturally lead prospects through the sales funnel, and in so doing increase website conversion.

Remember, people will visit your site for a number of different reasons. Some are looking for information, some are tire kickers, some are want to buy now, and some are just plain lost. Your website should provide all of these visitors with the solution they are looking for (except the lost ones), offering a one-stop shop for prospects at every stage of the sales funnel. To do otherwise would be inefficient and foolish.

Stayed tuned for part II of this blog series, where I’ll touch on how you can provide visitors a unique online experience with valuable website content.

Question: Is your website providing solutions to address the needs of your target audience?

How To Turn Your MLM Business Goals From Failure To Success

Create Urgency But Patience For You And Your Team

To achieve your goals in your MLM business, you need to create urgency, while still not lose the meaning of patience. Does this make sense? Is this state of mind possible? Your downline must be passionate while at the same time cool, calm and collected. For them to get the results in the short term, they should see the urgency. How to get your team members to agree and and stay on track?

Just think about it, as the team leader you must be very patient … or you are very disappointed. You must resist drama and bring a large dose of calmness and acceptance to your personal life and your MLM business. Now you have the “patience”. Then you need to operate with a mindset of “urgency”.

Treat Time As Your Most Precious Comodity

It seems reasonable to think that we have all the time in the world. This mindset allows us to walk through some streets that distract us, rather than allow us to a focus on our purpose … which is the real reason why 19 of 20 people do not get what they want in life. To get what you want, you should know exactly what it is – and then act quickly to do it.

You need to act like you have a very limited time. The plan is simply a strategy that works very, very focused on your most cherished desire … When you reach that goal, you can go ahead and wander your way back if you want. But first, just focuses on your goal until you have it.

Maintain Passion And Make Time Your Partner

It seems that most people actually see an urgent need to pursue their dream. However, it seems the only time that the necessary urgency for success apply when they lose their jobs. Zero effort but immediate income! However,to get everything you want in life, it is necessary to the maintain your passion, planned the day and create an urgency to do things that will bring your dream to life.

Obviously you can attack every situation as a matter of life or death, but.In the book “The Slight Edge,” by Jeff Olson, the author shows again and again how little changes, very small, repeated day after day after day until it becomes regular l routine can change your life from failure to success. The key is that when you make simple changes like this, and do it consistently, time is your opponent, but time now becomes ones partner on your journey to success in your MLM business.  CLICK HERE to find out more

Blogging for business have gathered a lot of attention and it is the easiest way to connect with the customers and other prospects. A blog is known as a public online diary which you can update regularly. You can update it every after hour and you can have other people to make a comment out of your postings.

Blogging for business has been the next big thing to advertising and communication. Blog experts are now coming up with ways to improve the quality of blogs in the field of business. Practitioners even call it b-blogs which stands for business blogs.

Although many people find business blogs as an underground way to promote their stuff, who cares at all? As long as they don’t get kicked out from the search engines, they won’t lose anything. Blogs have been powerful and influential voices for media and politics. Anyone can pour out their views and emotions about what is happening in the society.

Blogging for business may not be mainly used for a promotion because some use it indirectly even if it will include product names or site names. Some marketers manage their blogs with contents such as their personal experiences and views.

Blogging for business may be hard to manage…

However, blogging for business may be hard to manage. If you have not used it properly, it can cause you some embarrassment with the feedback of your prospects and consistent viewers. If they find something not good or if the information is overloaded, you might scare them away. DotComSecrets Local specializes in matching local business owners with internet marketing experts and is hosting webinars this week to seek new consultants throughout the US

Boise, Idaho (PRWEB) February 12, 2012

As new economic data begins to trickle in showing signs of improvement to the economy, one Boise-based internet marketing company says it now wants to expand its operations nationally.

DotComSecrets Local announced today that it will host free webinars this week for people seeking local marketing jobs. The company is looking to expand its presence into every major metropolitan area by the end of the year, according to company founder and president Russell Brunson.

DotComSecrets Local already has helped create local jobs in dozens of communities, and now it wants to go national. The company specializes in connecting local small businesses with internet marketing experts.

Too many small businesses squander their advertising budget on traditional marketing – such as local newspaper, radio and television ads – when consumers have already moved on to the internet, Brunson said. DCS Local helps business complete the transition to the digital age and create effective marketing programs that are less costly, reach more people, and are specifically targeted to each businesses’ primary customers.

“We want to help these small businesses and we have the resources to do it,” Brunson said. “We’re just missing one thing that we need to reach them: A local presence. We need somebody on the ground.”

During the webinars, jobseekers will learn how they can get online jobs to work part time from their own home in their spare time. Some DCS Local consultants earn more than $8,000 per month, while others began earning paychecks on their very first day on the job.

During the webinars, participants will learn how they can join DCS Local chapters in their own cities and become highly paid affiliates. But DCS Local consultants provide no actual product or services and do no actual work, other than bringing local businesses to the company. Instead, they are compensated for every business they bring into the network, and continue to receive payments for as long as the businesses remain in the network.

No prior sales or marketing experience is required to become a DCS Local consultant because the company will provide all required training and skills, according to Brunson.

The company’s success has been recognized by such prestigious business leaders as famed motivational speaker Tony Robbins and international businessman Richard Branson, who even christened one of his jets after the company.

Brunson, a self-made internet success story, said marketing is in a transition period and many local small businesses mistakenly believe they can succeed using crumbling platforms such as local media. Consumers have moved on, and businesses need to do the same.

DCS Local replaces small local businesses’ expensive and ineffective traditional advertising with internet marketing programs that cost less and reach more people. The company seeks to “level the marketing playing field” and follows the model created by internet success stories such as Facebook, Twitter and Groupon, according to Brunson.

Thousands of businesses have been helped by DCS Local and now the company wants to expand into every major metropolitan area. And it all begins with this week’s webinars.

This week’s three free webinars will be limited to only 300 people per session, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Past webinars filled within only a few hours and thousands of jobseekers were turned away, so participants are encouraged to sign up early to make sure they get in.

Brunson stressed that the webinars were expected to fill up fast, so those people who want to learn how they can start making thousands of dollars per week while working part time from their own homes should sign up fast before all the positions are filled.

Participants can sign up for one of this week’s three webinars by visiting:
